SoftPaper("App", "Service", "we", "us", "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy and KVKK Disclosure Notice ("Policy") explains, under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and — for European Economic Area / United Kingdom users — the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), what personal data we process when you use the SoftPaper app, for what purposes, on what legal bases, with whom it may be shared, how long it is retained, and what rights you have.

SoftPaper acts as the data controller for personal data processed under this Policy.
2. Personal Data We Process & Categories
2.1 On-Device Local Storage (Local-First Architecture)
SoftPaper is built on a Local-First privacy architecture.
- Drawings, Notes & Planners: Your handwritten strokes, notebook pages, daily/weekly/monthly planner entries, bookmarks, post-it notes, and custom canvas settings are stored exclusively on your device using local storage.
- No Cloud Upload of Notes: Your drawings and personal notes are never uploaded to our servers or any cloud service unless you manually export or backup your device via iCloud or device backup.
- No user account: SoftPaper does not require registration or a cloud account. Your content stays on your iPad.
2.2 Purchase and Subscription Data
Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify whether you have an active subscription.
- Data received via RevenueCat / App Store: Subscription status (active/expired/trial) and anonymous transaction references.
- We never receive, view, or store your credit card numbers or financial details.
2.3 Analytics and Crash Data (Production Builds Only)
Only in production builds, we may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google Firebase):
- Anonymous feature usage statistics (e.g. page navigation, theme changes, paywall views).
- Device model, OS version, app version, and anonymous crash stack traces.
- This data is strictly non-identifiable and does not include your drawings, handwriting, or note contents.
2.4 In-App Preferences
Your selected language, active color theme, paper style templates, and layout settings are stored locally on your device.
2.5 Support Correspondence
When you email us at support.thedynamicstudios@gmail.com, we retain your email address and message contents solely to assist you and improve our support services.
3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
- Providing local note-taking, notebook page creation, and Apple Pencil drawing features.
- Verifying active subscription status and delivering subscribed features.
- Verifying subscription status through RevenueCat and ensuring billing integrity.
- Measuring app performance and diagnosing system crashes (production builds only).
- Responding to customer support requests and fulfilling legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your note or drawing content for third-party advertising or AI training.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
4.1 Türkiye (KVKK Art. 5)
- Performance of a Contract (Art. 5/2-c): Providing app functionality, note saving, and subscription management.
- Legal Obligation (Art. 5/2-ç): Financial records and legal compliance.
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 5/2-f): Security, crash reporting, and app optimization.
4.2 EEA/UK Users (GDPR)
- Contract (Art. 6/1-b): Delivering the SoftPaper service and subscription benefits.

6. Retention Periods

7. Data Subject Rights (KVKK Art. 11 & GDPR)

- Request deletion or erasure of personal data.
- Object to processing or request restriction of processing.

8. Children's Privacy
SoftPaper does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for immediate deletion.
